What does it take to be a profitable cow-calf producer? The Canadian Cow-Calf Cost of Production network benchmarked cost of production for different cow-calf production systems across Canada. This session will showcase what we learned from producers through the COP network.
John Molenhuis has been with OMAFRA for 22 years. He has led several benchmarking projects with Ontario livestock producers and is the provincial co-ordinator with the Canadian Cow-Calf cost of production network. John has a degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Guelph and grew up on a swine farrow to finish operation outside Strathroy Ontario.
