Colostrum Evaluation and Passive Transfer

Colostrum feeding is the single most important event in promoting health and survival of the newborn lamb. Recent work documenting goat colostrum assessment for antibody level and transfer to the lamb will be discussed. Criteria for assessing colostrum and passive transfer on your farm will be provided.
