My name is Steve Martin. I am a commercial cow-calf operator and custom grazier based in Melancthon, Ontario, in the heart of potato country. Along with my wife and our four children, we operate a farm that has been in my wife's family since 1853. We practice adaptive multi-paddock grazing utilizing virtual fencing technology, and I also do some work as a grazing mentor.

Beef Farmers of Ontario President Jason Leblond will share a year-end update highlighting BFO's work to strengthen and advance Ontario's beef sector. The presentation will cover key advocacy efforts and organizational priorities, including the issues affecting beef farmers and the progress made with government and industry partners. Jason will also provide an overview of BFO's producer education initiatives and consumer engagement activities designed to build public trust and promote Ontario beef.

Jason Leblond and his family operate a commercial grass-fed cow-calf beef farm in the Township of Chisholm, near Powassan. Since beginning his farming career in 2006, Jason has steadily expanded the operation with a goal of growing the herd to 100 cows. A Certified Engineering Technologist, Jason brings both technical expertise and practical experience to his work in agriculture. He is actively involved in the farming community, having contributed to organizations such as the East Nipissing–Parry Sound Ontario Federation of Agriculture and the Muskoka/Parry Sound/Nipissing Beef Farmers. Jason also serves on the Executive with the Canadian Cattle Association, representing Beef Farmers of Ontario at the national level.

Dale has a feedlot operation in the south end of Grey County, Dundalk. He farms with his wife Lynda, son Chris, daughter Lisa and grandchildren. They produce 13 million lbs of beef per year. They crop about 5000 acres and pasture yearlings on Manitoulin island on land that they own and rent there. The family farm has been in the same name for 151 years and has had 7 generations working on the same homestead.
