On Demand: How to Make Zones When Starting Precision Management of Seed or Fertilizer

Changing the rate of seed and fertilizer to meet the needs and opportunities of different parts of a field. The challenge is trying to determine how to create the management zones that will match up with the variability of the field. This session will review some of the more common approaches to creating optimized management zones to meet the wants of farmers.

Aaron Breimer was born and raised on a farm in Middlesex county. After completing his B.Sc. (Agr.) degree from the University of Guelph, his first 10 years in the agriculture industry were spent with ag retail companies. For the last 12 years he has held a variety of roles surrounding consulting agronomy and precision agriculture. Aaron has obtained his CCA, P.Ag. designation, and most recently completed the Advanced Ag Leadership Program (AALP).


Jonathan Zettler has been providing consulting agronomy services in Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth and Wellington since 2018. Jonathan is the first SWAT Maps service provider in Ontario, introducing this unique soil mapping and crop management system.
